Tanah Lot, a small sanctuary, is located at the southern coast of Bali and consists of series of temples. Tanah lot literally means Land in the Middle of the sea. It is a verdant rock formation and is popular spot for photography. The majestic views of lusting green surroundings and the beautifully designed natural landscapes are all perfect for photographic canvasses.

It is verdant looking with its special feature of solitary black towers. Pura Ulu Watu, Pura Peti tenget, Pura Sakenan and Pura Rambut Siwi are the important shrines in this sanctuary. It is believed that sea snakes guard the temples. It is one of the seven sea temples in Indonesia. The revered deities of these temples are associated with mountain peaks and mountain lakes. Also there are temples for guardians of sea and mountains. This place is a proper destination for nature loving tourists.
