Airports in Indonesia

Indonesia is an intriguing country that consists of over 17,000 islands. There is a large amount of airports and seaports, which makes traveling between various islands quite easy. However, only five of the islands have international airports. This means that travelers who want to visit more remote and exotic locations will either have to get there by boat or through an indirect flight.

There are six international airports in Java, two in Sumatra, one in Kalimantan, one in Sulawesi, and one in Bali. The inner network of small airports is advanced enough to be able to provide thrill seekers and leisure travelers with quick connections. Indonesia is a beautiful and year-round travel location with over seventy airports and seaports; however, some locations are only reachable by boat.
